Who leads the Church
The Church is led by Elders and a team of Deacons. Elders are also Trustees responsible to the Charity Commission. Our Deacons serve in various capacities in the week to week running of the church. Elders and deacons are supported by many others in carrying out all the work of the church.
Elders
Peter Day
Peter became a follower of Jesus while at University through a friend sharing with him the good news about Jesus. Shortly afterwards, he joined Lansdowne Evangelical Free Church in South London where he met his wife, Margaret. In 2000 Peter was appointed as Pastoral Assistant and then in 2003 he was invited to be Pastor. He served there until 2025 when he responded to a call to become our Pastor here at AEC.
Peter enjoys reading and cricket. On his days off, he and Margaret enjoy visiting historic places and walking. They have two adult children.
