What We Do

Our main meetings are on Sundays, but we also have various meetings during the week. Everyone is welcome to these meetings.

  • Sundays

The main time for us to meet is on Sunday mornings when we sing together, and someone will lead us in prayer and reading from the Bible. We listen to someone explaining a passage from the Bible that will help us to see who God is, and how we should respond to Him. On Sunday mornings we meet at 10:15 am in Alverstoke Junior School. This meeting lasts until about 11:30 after which we have time for refreshments.

Our meetings on Sunday evenings at 6:30 pm follow a similar format but with smaller numbers are less formal. Once a month on the fourth Sunday of the month we meet at 5:30 pm to pray together.

  • In The Week

In smaller groups we meet during the week at various homes to share in our lives around the Bible and prayer.

Once a month on the first Thursday of the month we meet at Solent Evangelical Church at 7:45pm to pray together.

Growing Together is a well-attended ladies’ Bible study that meets on Monday mornings at 10:00 at Solent Evangelical Church.

  • If you are considering visiting us, we would recommend that you come along to the morning service. We tend to work through themes or sections of the Bible to give consistent teaching that builds week on week. Many people, including our visitors, find this helpful in their daily lives.

As we regularly have newcomers with us, we aim to make everything accessible and jargon free. Children are welcome, and a crèche is provided (Adventurers). There are also age specific groups for children up to age 14 (J-Squad, Tribe).
